Dance Journey
I started dancing at just 4 years old in Louisiana at Jill Listi Dance Studio. What started as something fun quickly became something I was truly passionate about. As I got older, I became more serious about dance and began competing in 5th grade.
Competition dance pushed me to grow not just as a dancer, but as a person. It taught me how to handle pressure, work as part of a team, and stay committed even when things got hard. I continued competing all the way through high school and into college.
In high school, I was also on my school’s dance team for all four years. That experience was different from studio dance and helped me become more versatile and confident performing in front of crowds.
Now, I am on the University of Memphis Dance Team, and I’m going into my fourth year. Being on a college team has been one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences. It takes a lot of time, energy, and dedication, but it’s something I truly love.
Dance has been a constant in my life for 17 years, and it continues to shape who I am every day.
